HelixChem™ ShinyStar gel stain is a safe nucleic acid stain, an alternative to the traditional ethidium bromid(EtBr) stain for detecting nucleic acid on agarose gels. It emits green fluorescence when bound to DNA or RNA under UV light.

Storage and Stability
- Store at 4℃ and stable for more than 12 month.
- HelixChem™ ShinyStar gel stain is light sensitive and should be stored in a dark.
Application
- Visualization of DNA and RNA bands on an agarose gel electrophoresis.
Safety tests
Table 1. HelixChem™ ShinyStar gel stain safety test results. The dye is non-cytotoxic and non-mutagenic at working concentrations used in gel staining.
